Safety In Numbers: a poetic conversation, edited by Gill Connors and published by Yaffle Press is an anthology of poetic conversation with poems that respond to each other in a chain repeating and answering each other's voices. This project is tied to Gill Connors' PhD on the links between 16th and 21st Century women, and this book is the result of over 200 women's responses to each other's poetry.
I am delighted to have my poem 'And now, breathe' included. The preceding poem 'A teenage girl waits at the edge of the woods' was sent to me to respond to in some way, and continue the chain. My poem was then sent to the next author in the chain, as a springboard for them. A fabulous and emotional project to be a part of.
